Keeping Cloth Diapering Simple. ,

Flannel, Birdseye and muslin are classic diaper fabrics.  If you cloth diapered before the year 2000 (and I did), then you had cloth diapers made of one of these three fabrics.  And guess what? They work awesome!

Yes you need 9-12 layers but they aren't thick so its not to bulky.  Some say the size of these diapers make kids walk later.  Well all of my kids have been diapered in Flannel and walked between 9 and 10 months. And like I said they really aren't that bulky.

They are natural cotton fabrics and wash really well.  If you wash by hand this is a good choice.  If your fortunate enough to do laundry in a top loader I believe you will never have ammonia with these provided you wash regularly and rinse after use.  If you have a new fancy front loader it should still be good but I've never used one cuz I hear they don't wash as well.

Want a great over night diaper?  Make a fitted diaper with soaker using classic diaper fabrics and wool cover.  Or  make it a hybrid fitted with wool for nights and out and about or go the wool in one route.  You won't be disappointed.

Other natural diaper fabrics of cotton and hemp will also give you a hard working easy to use cloth diaper.

Sometimes keeping it simple is the way to go.
